An active member of the Planetree Global Patient and Family Partnership Council (Global PFPC) since 2024, Ashish works closely with fellow Council members and Planetree staff, contributing to key initiatives, including the Person-Centered Guide to Communications, released in 2024. A strong consumer advocate, Ashish is always open to new conversations that elevate consumer interests and perspectives.

Ashish began his health advocacy journey in 2020 at the Women's and Children's Health Network (WCHN) in Adelaide, Australia. As a member of the consumer advocacy team, he has contributed to a number of key initiatives focused on improving care and strengthening consumer participation. Working closely with the Consumer Directorate, Ashish helped reform the Consumer Advisory Committee, which he has chaired for the past three years.

Ashish also served as a consumer partner on Australia's first-of-its-kind virtual pediatric emergency care service, developed in response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, he contributes to WCHN's patient experience project and supports several other strategic initiatives across the organization.

Passionate about Person-Centered Care, Ashish partnered with the WCHN Consumer Directorate to bring Planetree's principles and partnership to life across the network. As a member of the WCHN Person-Centered Care Steering Committee, he works closely with colleagues to advance the organization's journey toward person-centered excellence. Most recently, Ashish was appointed as a community representative on the Ethics Board of Speech Pathology Australia.
