An active member of Planetree Global PFPC since 2024,Ashish closely works with fellow members and Planetree, contributing to keyCouncil initiatives, like the ‘Person-Centered Guide to Communications’released in 2024. A strong consumer voice, Ashish is always open for newconversations to bring consumer interests and perspectives to the fore.
Ashish began his health advocacy journey in 2020 at the‘Women’s and Children’s Health Network’ (WCHN), Adelaide, Australia. A part ofthe consumer advocacy team, he has participated in key initiatives at the Networkover the years with a focus to improve and enrich the care and participation ofconsumers. Working closely with the consumer directorate, Ashish helped reformthe Consumer Advisory Committee of which he has been the chair for the lastthree years. Ashish was involved as a consumer with the highly recognized andfirst of its kind, virtual services for paediatric emergency care inAustralia, which came to being due to the challenges posed by Covid. He is alsopart of the patient experience project at WCHN in addition to other assignmentsof strategic importance at the Network.
Passionate about person centred care, Ashish workedwith the WCHN consumer directorate to bring the Planetree association to lifeat the Network. As a member of the WCHN PCC Steering Committee, he worksclosely with the team to lead WCHN towards person centred excellence. Ashishwas also recently appointed to the position of community representative on theEthics Board of ‘Speech Pathology Australia’.
