Carly Allard joined Planetree in February 2025 as Director of Education & Product Development. In this role, she leads the design, enhancement, and implementation of educational programs and Planetree’s learning portfolio. She is deeply committed to creating meaningful, engaging learning experiences that advance person-centered care, and she brings a passion for curriculum design, instructional strategy, and the thoughtful integration of innovative learning technologies.

Carly brings extensive experience in instructional design, training program development, and healthcare education. Her career has been rooted in developing high-impact learning experiences that strengthen skills, shift culture, and support compassionate, equitable care. Most recently, she served as Associate Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), where she co-led the development of national training programs and learning resources, oversaw professional development initiatives—including Employee Resource Groups—and guided her team’s transition to a new Learning Management System.

Before her national DEI work, Carly was Director of Health & Wellness at The Gordon School, where she designed and led an inclusive, multicultural health education program. She also served as Regional Manager of Education & Training at Planned Parenthood of Southern New England (PPSNE), managing a team of educators and developing training programs for healthcare professionals, educators, and community organizations.

Carly holds a BA in Human Development from Connecticut College, a Master of Public Health from Boston University, and is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
