Darcel Jackson is a healthcare leader, parent partner, and research collaborator dedicated to advancing Person-Centered Care through lived experience, partnership, and systems improvement. She brings more than 18 years of caregiving experience to her work, shaped by navigating complex healthcare systems as the mother of her late daughter, Anniyah, who lived with significant medical needs.

Darcel serves as Manager of Patient and Family Centered Care at Children's National Hospital, where she partners with clinical, operational, and executive teams to embed patient and family perspectives into care delivery, organizational culture, and quality improvement initiatives. As a parent partner on the BEAR-Rx PATHS feasibility study team, she brings the family perspective to the research process, including conducting caregiver interviews and supporting focus group facilitation to help ensure the findings reflect the real-world experiences and priorities of patients and families.
