Lynn has been an active member of the Planetree Global Patient and Family Partnership Council (Global PFPC) since 2020. She has contributed to numerous Council initiatives, including serving on subcommittees, supporting recruitment efforts, participating in strategic planning, and presenting at the Planetree International Forum. Lynn is passionate about ensuring the voices of patients and families are heard and included in every aspect of healthcare.

Lynn became a Patient and Family Advisor (PFA) at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center (LHAAMC) in Annapolis, Maryland, in 2013 after her experience with breast cancer prevented her from returning to work. Determined to help improve the healthcare experience for patients and families, she became a highly engaged member of the Patient and Family Advisory Program.

Lynn currently serves as Co-chair of the Acute Care Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) and is a past Co-chair and current member of the Women's and Children's PFAC. She is also an active member of the Emergency Department PFAC and the Oncology PFAC.

Throughout her time at LHAAMC, Lynn has contributed to numerous committees and initiatives, including the Caregivers Committee and the implementation of Bedside Shift Report for the nursing staff. She also co-chairs the patient and family advisor-led Partners in My Care initiative for Women and Children, participates in resident role-playing and training programs, and remains actively engaged in strategic planning for both the hospital and its Patient and Family Advisory Program.
