Carla Behr is an accomplished healthcare leader with deep expertise in quality, patient experience, and person-centered care. As Director of Growth for Brazil, she supports the expansion of Planetree’s mission by partnering with organizations to advance meaningful, humanized care across the region. She brings a strong background in performance improvement, clinical operations, and healthcare management, informed by more than a decade of experience in Brazil’s health system. Carla has worked in leading healthcare organizations such as Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein and Hospital Sírio-Libanês. She brings more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare sector, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and person-centered care.
Carla is a pharmacist-biochemist with a master’s degree from the University of São Paulo (USP). She also holds postgraduate training in Quality and Productivity from POLI-USP, an Executive MBA in Health Management from Insper-SP, and a post-MBA from Einstein’s Faculty of Health. She is certified as a Green Belt and earned a Certificate in Excellence and Performance in Healthcare Project Management through a partnership between Einstein and the University of Paris.
A passionate advocate for person-centered care, Carla is a Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP) through the Patient Experience Institute, a Fellow in Person-Centered Care (FPCC) through Planetree International, and an Improvement Advisor certified by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). She is also an active member of the Brazilian Society for Patient Experience.
