Lynn has been an active member of the Planetree Global Patient and Family Partnership Council since 2020. She has contributed to many Global PFPC initiatives including sub-committees, recruitment, strategic planning and Planetree International Forum presentations. Lynn is passionate about ensuring the patient and family voice is heard and included in all aspects of healthcare.
Lynn became a Patient Family Advisor (PFA) at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center (LHAAMC) in Annapolis, Maryland in2013 after going through breast cancer and not being able to return to work. Determined to help improve the healthcare experience for patients and families, she became a highly engaged member of the Patient Family Advisory Program. Lynn is currently Co-chair of the Acute Care Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC) as well as being a past Co-chair and current member of the Women and Children’s PFAC. She is also a member of the Emergency Department PFAC and the Oncology PFAC. During this time, she has had the opportunity to contribute to numerous committees and programs, including the Caregiver’s Committee and the Bedside Shift Report for the nursing staff. Lynn co-chairs the PFA lead initiative, Partners in my Care for Women and Children, role playing for the Resident’s Program and being actively engaged in strategic planning for the hospital and the PFA programs.
